Why are some seagulls brown?
Seagulls are not typically brown. The coloration of seagulls varies by species, but most are white or gray with black wingtips. However, there are a few species of seagulls that are brown, such as the brown pelican and the brown booby. These birds live in tropical and subtropical regions and have evolved brown coloration as a form of camouflage. The brown coloration helps them blend in with the surrounding environment, making it more difficult for predators to spot them.
