When do kittens start to dream?

Kittens start to dream around 2-3 weeks of age. This is when their brains are developing rapidly and they start to experience REM sleep (rapid eye movement sleep), which is the stage of sleep where dreaming occurs.

You'll notice signs of dreaming in kittens during this time, like:

* Twitching whiskers and paws

* Rapid eye movements under closed eyelids

* Making small meows or purring noises

* Moving their legs as if running or pouncing

While we can't know for sure what kittens dream about, it's likely that their dreams reflect their waking experiences, such as playing, hunting, or exploring their surroundings.
