Look back to the date of conception, and add nine weeks to that date. Try to recall when your cat was last in heat and went outside, or was in the presence of an non-neutered male. This would most probably be the date of conception.
Look for a change in the nipples. A cat's nipples become more pink and enlarged about three weeks after conception. Add six weeks to that date.
Look for an increase in the cat's weight. Pay particularly close attention to her belly, which will become swollen. This generally begins at the fourth week of pregnancy. Add five weeks to this date.
Take your cat to the vet for an ultrasound. Your veterinarian will be able to use that information to help you closer pinpoint the delivery date.
Watch for milk. Your cat's mammary glands will begin producing milk about two days before giving birth.
Watch for vomiting, nesting, a lack of interest in food, and an decrease in body temperature to 99 degrees F. These are signs your cat is going to be going into labor at any time. Other signs include pacing, licking, panting, purring and meowing.
How to Find Out Your Pregnant Cat's Due Date
As with humans, the due date for a pregnant cat cannot be determined precisely. Cats usually give birth between 60 and 67 days after conception, with the average being 63 days, or 9 weeks. If you suspect your cat is pregnant, you should have your cat checked by your vet to help ensure a healthy delivery. Your vet will be able to assist you in determining the due date, as well as the size of the litter, by doing an ultrasound.
