How to Give a Cat a Bath With the Dog

Many people have more than one animal to care for, so it's no surprise that corners are cut in their grooming. If you can't afford to take your cats and dogs to the groomer, then you have to bathe them yourself. Instead of doing this task one animal at a time, take the shortcut and bathe the cats and dogs together. It sounds harder than the actual task at hand.

Prepare the bathroom with all the necessities to complete the bath from start to finish. Placing the shampoo, rinse cup and towels next to you will speed up the process.

    • 2
Dogs generally enjoy bathing more than cats, so keep them in the back while washing the cat.

Wash the most unruly pet first. This will most likely be the cat because cats are hardly ever in need of a bath and often terrified of them. Keep your dog in the back of the bathtub because dogs are more happy just to be there.

Keep the cat's stress level as low as possible and make the bath as quick as possible.

Finish bathing the cat and get the cat out of the tub. Wrap the cat in a towel and dry off the kitty as much as you can and then put it down.
