How to Apply Garlic to a Cat to Control Fleas

There are several home remedies for treating fleas on cats, some of which involve the use of garlic. These can vary from bathing the cat in garlic-infused soapy water to sprinkling garlic powder on the cat's coat. Fleas are repelled by the smell of garlic. It is hotly debated whether cats do well on a garlic regime, and it is certainly not recommended to give your cat large quantities of garlic without your vet's approval. However if ingested in small doses, and when applied externally, garlic will most likely not harm your cat in any way.
