- Shed Terminator for Cats capsules
- Shed reducer spray
Instructions
Purchase a de-shedding tool. This tool will get rid of a lot of the hair your cat is about to shed or has already shed. It has metal teeth and works with the fur near the skin. Start at the cat's head and work your way down toward your cat's tail. Then get its sides and underbelly. Use this tool once per week.
Use a cat brush to get the top coat of your cat's fur free of any loose hair. You should use the cat brush on your cat daily. If your cat doesn't like the brush at first, don't worry. The cat will get use to the brush after awhile, and then even enjoy its grooming time. Daily brushings will keep your cat's hair healthy and minimize the amount of hair that it sheds.
Sprinkle two capsules of Shed Terminator for Cats in your cat's food. Give this to your cat once per day for one month. After that you can begin giving your cat one capsule per day. This formula works to reduce the amount of hair your cat sheds.
Spray a shed reducer in your hand. Then rub it on the cat's fur by going against the direction the fur is growing. You can do this instead of giving your cat the capsules. Just apply it once per day for three weeks and then twice a week after that. Miracle Coat Shed Reducer is a respectable brand you may want to consider using.
Make sure you are feeding your cat a healthy diet. A healthy diet will keep your cat's fur from shedding any more than it needs to. Science Diet makes a well-balanced cat food, if you aren't sure whether your cat is eating properly or not.
