Take cuttings in late spring or early summer.
Select healthy stems that are soft and flexible, avoiding thick, woody growth.
Cuttings should be 4-6 inches (10-15 cm) long, with at least two sets of leaves.
Make a clean cut just below a node (where the leaves emerge from the stem).
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone to encourage root development.
Prepare a pot or container with well-draining potting soil.
Plant the cuttings in the potting soil, spacing them a few inches (5-7 cm) apart.
Water the cuttings thoroughly and keep the soil moist but not soggy.
Place the pot or container in a warm, bright location, away from direct sunlight.
Cover the cuttings with a plastic bag or clear plastic wrap to create a humid environment.
Mist the cuttings regularly to keep the humidity high.
Remove the plastic bag or wrap once roots have developed, usually within 4-6 weeks.
Continue to water the cuttings regularly and fertilize them lightly once a month.
Once the cuttings have developed a strong root system, you can transplant them into larger pots or containers, or plant them in the garden in a well-drained location.
