Ibuprofen is highly toxic to cats. Even small doses can cause serious health problems, including:
* Gastrointestinal issues: Vomiting, diarrhea, ulcers, bleeding
* Kidney failure: Ibuprofen can severely damage a cat's kidneys.
* Liver damage: Ibuprofen can also cause liver problems.
* Anemia: Ibuprofen can lead to a decrease in red blood cells.
Never give your cat ibuprofen or any other human medication without consulting a veterinarian.
If you suspect your cat has ingested ibuprofen, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center immediately.
