Things You'll Need
- Washcloth
- Canned cat food
- 1/4 vitamin c tablet
- 1/2 teaspoon water
Instructions
Use a warm, wet washcloth to wipe the mucous from your kitten's eyes and nose. This will help keep her eyes clean and nasal passages open.
Run a hot shower. Close the door and let your kittens breathe in the steam from the shower. This will help clear their air passages, making it easier to breathe.
Keep your kittens inside, where it is warm and dry. Do not let your kittens go outside in low temperatures. This can cause their airways to constrict, making breathing more difficult.
Feed your kittens some warm canned cat food. Kittens may lose their appetite during a cold because they cannot smell their food. The warmed food will emit an aroma that will make eating more enticing.
Give your kittens vitamin C to boost their immune systems. Crush 1/4 of a vitamin C tablet and mix it with half a teaspoon of water. Fill a medicine dropper with the solution and inject it. Try to do this as close to the back of your kitten's throat as possible, for easy swallowing.
