Instructions
Read the instructions on the back of the flea bomb package before purchasing the product. Owners who intend to flea bomb their home need to buy a flea bomb explicitly intended for home use. In addition, users should make sure that the flea bomb will kill the larvae as well as the adult flea. Otherwise the fleas will hatch, and another wave of flea infestation will occur.
Close all cabinets and make sure no food is exposed that might come in contact with the flea bomb's vapor. Remove all animals from the house and move any furniture or fixtures off of carpeted areas to ensure that the flea bomb will hit all potentially affected areas.
Position the flea bomb canisters on a magazine or newspaper off the ground in the center of a room. Use enough canisters to blanket the house with the flea bomb vapor. The instructions on the product will explain how much coverage area each individual canister will provide.
Push down on the tab located on the top of the flea bomb until you hear a click, which means the tab is locked into the open position. Step back from the canister as the flea bomb will immediately spray a stream of vapor into the air. Repeat this step for each canister being used and then quickly exit the house. The instructions that came with the product will state exactly how long to allow before entering the home once again.
Reenter the house and open all of the windows when the appropriate amount of time has passed. Leave the windows open and let the house ventilate for up to one hour. After the house has been thoroughly ventilated, it will again be safe to bring people and pets back into the home.
How to Get Rid of Fleas in Your House With Flea Bombers
For pet owners, "flea" can be the nastiest of all four letter words. Aside from the obvious health concerns for the animals themselves, people can also be negatively affected by a flea infestation. Fleas can get in clothes and people's hair, and can even cause an intestinal worm if ingested. Fleas are resilient and can be extremely difficult to eradicate. If a flea problem persists and nothing is working to get rid of them, it may be time to use a flea bomb.
