Things You'll Need
- Salt
- Vacuum
- Container
Instructions
Sprinkle baking soda liberally on the cat. Rub it into the skin. Repeat as needed. Fleas lay eggs directly on the cat.
Combine equal parts salt and baking soda. Cover the rugs, upholstery and carpet with the mixture. If you run out while spreading the mixture around your house, mix another batch. Baking soda won't stain your carpets or upholstery.
Vacuum the carpet, upholstery and rugs after letting the mixture set into the rugs for at least 15 minutes.
Remove the vacuum bag or canister immediately and put it outside to avoid reinfesting the house.
Repeat every time you vacuum for at least three months, but eggs can delay hatching for up to a year.
