According to CatHealthGuide.com, if your cat is making coughing noises this could point to something as simple as a fur ball or as severe as a bacterial infection. Bronchitis, asthma or allergies can also make your cat cough. If your cat has heart worms, which is rare but possible, or parasites, these could induce coughing as well.

If your cat often struggles with a cough, improving its overall health with the use of dietary supplements could help. Its immune and respiratory systems will be boosted.

Cat Makes Coughing Noises
Regardless of the underlying reason, your cat makes coughing noises because its throat, airways or lungs are being irritated. If your cat has a cough for more than 24 hours, or if it has something stuck in its throat, take your pet to the veterinarian.
