Warnings for Frontline Plus for Cats

Frontline Plus for cats provides fast convenient treatment for infestations of fleas, ticks, and biting lice on cats and kittens. Frontline Plus contains fipronil and an insect growth regulator (IGR), (S)-methoprene.

  1. Function

    • Frontline Plus kills 100 percent of adult fleas within 18 hours of application and 100 percent of ticks within 48 hours. Frontline plus also stops the life cycle of the flea to prevent a recurring infestation.

    Hazard to Humans

    • Apply Frontline Plus with caution. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing as it can cause irritation. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling.

    Side Effects

    • Pets may experience some temporary irritation at the site of application. Certain medications may interact with the ingredients in Frontline Plus. Check with your veterinarion before use on medicated, debilitated or older pets.

    Warnings

    • Frontline Plus is for external use only and is not for use in kittens under 8 weeks of age. Read the entire label and directions before applying.

    How to Apply

    • Peel the applicator from the foil and carefully snap off the tip of the applicator. Place the applicator tip through your cat's hair to the skin between the shoulder blades and place the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot onto your cat's skin.
