Herbal and Flower Blends for Seizures
-
Circling can result from the nervousness or physical discomfort that results in a cat that is prone to or has had a seizure. Feline epilepsy, feline diabetes, strokes, head injuries, parasitic infections, liver diseases, kidney diseases, low blood sugar or thyroid problems can all cause seizures. A handful of herbal blends are available for helping to bring relief during and after a seizure. These products include Pet Essences Seizures Flower Essences, Doc Ackerman's Epilepsy &Seizure Formula and EaseSure. Ingredients in these products are largely targeted to the nervous system and include things such as passionflower, belladonna, chamomile, aspen and impatiens. These products are administered topically or by mixing with food or water.
Flax Oil for Cancer
-
The fatigue and confusion that can result from the symptoms of a tumor can also cause a cat to circle. If your cat is suffering from cancer, flax oil has been found to have anti-cancer properties and is able to rejuvenate energy, restore appetite and bring mental clarity. Give your cat a daily dose of flax oil and expect gradual, but positive results. Give your cat one tablespoon of flax oil per day, unless otherwise instructed by your vet. Drizzle the flax oil over the cat's food or mix the flax oil with cottage cheese to make it more appealing. A dose of graviola tincture can also be added. Graviola tincture comes from the tree of the same name and has also been found to have cancer fighting properties. Buy a graviola tincture designed specifically for cats. A typical dosage is 15 drops mixed with water, given two or three times a day.
Hydrogen Peroxide and Charcoal for Poisoning
-
If your cat has recently ingested a poisonous substance, such as household chemical cleaners or paint, the subsequent poisoning can cause sickness as well as disorientation, and both of these things can result in circling. One way to eliminate the poisonous substance is to induce vomiting. A natural way to induce vomiting is to use hydrogen peroxide. Use one tablespoon for every 10 pounds that your cat weighs. Hydrogen peroxide can be force-fed with a dropper. If the substance is one that is able to cause burning or the damage of skin, such as bleach or paint remover, do not induce vomiting. In these cases your pet should be rushed immediately to a vet. Charcoal can be fed to a cat and used to absorb the poisonous substance and prevent it from further absorbing into the blood stream. Activated charcoal is available over-the-counter from pet pharmaceutical suppliers. Follow the dosage instruction. A typical dosage is 1/4 to 1 teaspoon per two pounds of cat weight.

Homeopathic Remedies for Cats Circling
Aimless wandering in circles by cats can be caused by a number of health problems, ranging from neurological issues to viral diseases such as feline leukemia. Homeopathic remedies should not be relied upon for all potential causes, such as malignant diseases, but can often be used to bring relief or as a supplementary healing method for certain problems, such as seizure disorders, cancer and poisoning - all of which can lead to circling. A vet should always be consulted for analysis and a discussion about possible homeopathic remedies and dosages.
