How to Treat Worms in a Stray Cat

Intestinal worms (parasites) live in the digestive tract of a cat, robbing it of important nutrients that it needs.There are several types of intestinal worms that infect cats such as roundworms, tape worms and whipworms. Stray cats tend to have worms because they lack proper feeding, treatment and care.   • Wormer (pill form)
  • Rubber gloves

      Put on the rubber gloves.

      Sit on the floor and put the cat in your lap.

      Hold the cat's head and pry its mouth open with your thumb and forefinger.

      Put a worming pill towards the back of the cat's mouth.

      Hold the cat̵7;s mouth shut for 10 seconds. Make sure the cat has been swallowed the pill.

      Repeat as directed on the packaging label.
