How to Treat Feline Ear Mites

Ear mites are small parasites that are attracted to the warmth of the ear and live in a cat̵7;s ear wax. They can cause extreme irritation to your cat. Often, a cat with ear mites will scratch her ear a lot, shake her head because of the irritation, or rub her ear on the ground. If you look into the ear of a cat with mites, you will notice little dark brown spots which are dried blood. It is important to treat a cat with ear mites immediately, since mites left untreated will move further down the ear canal and cause permanent hearing damage. There are a number of remedies to clean your cat's ears and kill ear mites.
