- Betadine solution

Instructions
Cut the cat's fur down from around the cut. You must be able to clearly see the cut in order to clean it and treat it properly.
Run the cut under some water to wash out any dirt or grime.
Mix one cap full of the Betadine solution with ten cap fulls of water. Pour the solution over the cut.
Pat the fur around the cut dry with a white cloth. The dye from colored cloths can get into the cut so it's always best to use white.
Place a small amount of antibiotic ointment over the cut and cover it with gauze. Wrap more gauze around the area so the cat can't get to the cut. Change the gauze and clean the cut daily.
