What Is the Behavior of a Cat in Heat?
Female cats in heat, also known as estrus, experience a period of heightened sexual arousal and display signs to male cats that they are receptive to mating. On average, an adult cat goes into heat every two to three weeks around mid-January to August. Cats in estrus will display distinctive behavioral changes.
