Wrapping a cat in a towel to administer medication may seem a little scary, but if your cat needs treatment and he must be restrained to do it, wrapping him in a towel is safe and will not hurt him. Instead of having to go to the vet every time he needs his ears cleaned or needs to take a pill, you can do it yourself.
Things You'll Need
- Cat
- Towel
Instructions
Lay a towel over your cat's back close to her head so that it hangs off both sides of her back.
Take one side of the towel and pull it across your cat's chest.
Pull the other side of the towel across the flap already on your cat's chest. Your cat is wrapped now.
Gently put your cat on her side. Hold the wrap and the cat firmly. If she thinks she can get away, she will.
Give your cat her medicine or treatment. Once finished, you can let her free.
