Examine the Eye

Make sure that your cat doesn't have a scratch on the eye or an object in it. First, pour a little warm water over the eyes. Next, use a piece of soft cotton wool to gently wipe the eyes clean. To use on your cat to help clear her conjunctivitis, you can pour a cap-full onto her back between the shoulder blades and hold a piece of cotton wool over the spot to keep it from spilling. You can also soak a piece of cotton wool or a paper towel in a mixture of part water and part apple cider vinegar, enough so that it doesn't smell too strongly, and gently wipe your cat's eyes with it, clearing out the excess goo.
