When it comes to cats, they certainly love their cat trees. Not only do they feel as if they have a piece of furniture of their own within the house, but they also have a place to wear down their nails. (Other than your couch.) Here are some tips on how to carpet a cat tree so that your bundle of joy gets some of the play time he deserves.
Things You'll Need
- Carpet (industrial strength)
- Staple gun and staples
- Box cutter or scissors
Instructions
Measure the amount of carpet that you'll need for the job to carpet your cat tree. Don't worry about pulling out the ruler. Simply place the carpet on the cat tree itself.
Cut the excess carpet off using your box cutter or pair of scissors.
Staple the carpet to the cat tree by using the staple gun to secure the carpet. You should utilize enough staples so that if you pull on the carpet it holds securely in place.
Remove or cover any sharp or jagged edges that are left over. If you built the carpet tree, you may need to do a little sanding or cover an additional piece of wood with carpet so that it won't hurt your cat. You cat tree is now carpeted and ready for use by fluffy.
