Here are some things to try if your cat or dog has diarrhea
Instructions
For the first 24 hours, do not give your pet any food, however, make sure they have plenty of fresh water. After 24 hours, feed him/her bland foods like cooked, boneless and skinless chicken for cats and cooked hamburger and rice for dogs. Drain and squeeze off excess fat. Feed in small portions five to six times per day. If your pet has a health issue, please call your vet before trying this method.
Restore your pets digestive system with yogurt. Activia works great.
Try adding fiber to your pet's food - Flaxseeds or Oat Bran. Cats and dogs under 15 pounds give 1/2 teaspoon. Dogs 15-50 pounds give 1 teaspoon. Dogs over 50 pounds give 1 tablespoon
Make sure your pet has good quality pet food. Iams is a good choice.
Call your vet if the diarrhea is bloody or last more than 24 hours.
