The problem is trying to get your cat to stand on a scale long enough to measure his weight. Most cats will jump off a scale if you try to get them to stay. Yet there is a way to find out how much your cat weighs without having to take drastic measures.

- Bathroom scale
Instructions
Stand on the bathroom scale.
Record your weight on a piece of paper.
Pick up your cat and stand on the scale again.
Record, on the piece of paper, the combined weight of you and your cat.
Subtract your weight alone from the combined weight. The difference will be the weight of your cat.
