Fleas can be a real problem for kittens. Not only do they bother the kitten and cause constant scratching, but they can get in your house and bite family members. Advantage Flea Treatment is a once per month medication that will keep your kitten free of fleas. All of the fleas in your home will begin to die out until they are completely gone.
Instructions
Get a prescription for Advantage from your local vet. You can purchase the flea medication directly from them or online (see Resources).
Take one tube of Advantage out of the packet. It usually comes in a 3-month supply so you will have two tubes left over.
Hold your tube so that the cap is on the top. Twist the cap off.
Turn the cap upside down and twist back on the tube. There is a sharp pointy piece in there that will break open the tube.
Find a friend or family member to hold the kitten still so it doesn't squirm while you apply the medication.
Take the cap off of the medication and get ready. You need to find your cat's shoulder blades and then move to the center of the neck in that spot. Part the kitten's fur.
Squeeze all of the contents of the tube on the skin of the cat's neck where you parted the fur. Wait two or three seconds and then let the kitten go.
