Is a white cat lucky or not lucky?

In many cultures, white cats are considered lucky. In Japanese folklore, beckoning white cats (maneki neko) are believed to bring wealth, good health, and prosperity. In some Native American traditions, white cats are seen as symbols of goodness, purity, and happiness. In ancient Celtic folklore, white cats were revered for their wisdom, and were believed to be able to foresee the future. In Ancient Greece and Rome, white cats were associated with the moon goddess and were considered sacred. In some Eastern European cultures, white cats are believed to bring good luck and dispel negative energy. However, in some other cultures, such as in parts of Africa, white cats may be associated with bad luck or misfortune.
