What do you for a cat that accidentally ingested Motrin?

If you think your pet has ingested Motrin, take them to the vet IMMEDIATELY. If you’ve brought them to a vet, call the Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435.

Keep track of your pet's symptoms. While waiting for the vet or poison control center, there are a few things you can do to help your pet:

-Try to estimate how much Motrin your pet ingested, how long ago it was, and what type of pill it was (e.g. 200 mg tablet).

-If there are visible pieces of pill in your pet’s vomit, try to collect a sample to bring with you to the vet.

-Try to absorb any remaining powder from the floor (if applicable) with a damp paper towel and keep it with you to show the vet.
