How long does a cat spend caring for its young?
Cats are generally pregnant for about nine weeks, and it's recommended kittens spend their first 1 or 2 days quietly bonding with mom before any visitors are introduced. Kittens spend most of their life in infancy until about the eight week milestone before being fully transitioned with weaning from their mom's care around the sixth or seventh week, so about two complete months on milk/mama care, and another 6 for full self sufficiency to roam.
