Face Mask
-
Bentonite clay is the main active ingredient in most clay face masks. Clay helps clear pores and suck out impurities for tighter looking pores. Crush half a cup of 100 percent unscented clay cat litter into a powder and add filtered water until it creates a paste. Rub on your face and let sit for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and a washcloth for clean soft skin.
Deodorizer
-
Cat litter is porous and absorbs smells, which why it makes a great for cats. Pour a cup in the bottom of a trash can to absorb smell and dampness as well. Keep a bowl of fresh cat litter in musty cabinets or closets and replace every week. Sprinkle a handful of cat litter in ashtrays to absorb some of the smell.
Dry Fresh Flowers
-
Cat litter absorbs liquid just as it absorbs smell. Preserve fresh flowers perfectly by placing a layer of cat litter 1 to 2 inches thick at the bottom of an airtight container. Place flowers gently on top of the litter and seal container. Let flowers sit for a week. Once opened, flowers should be completely dry and in the same shape they were when you put them in the container.
Absorbent
-
Ten lbs. of cat litter can absorb an entire gallon of liquid. Use cat litter to help clean up difficult spills such as oil or paint. Pour 2 or 3 inches of fresh cat litter in the bottom of a grill to absorb drippings, unpleasant odors and reduce flare-ups. Replace cat litter once saturated.
