How to Wrap Flowers With Duct Tape

Floral arrangements, corsages, bouquets and other related crafts depend on florist's tape to hold them together; duct tape can be used if you don't have florist's tape. The technique involved in wrapping flowers with duct tape doesn't differ too much from using florist's tape. Duct tape is stickier and longer-lasting than florist's tape; it is useful when creating crafts intended to last.

Instructions

    • 1

Select two or three flowers for a corsage or other craft. Snip the stems as needed, depending on the craft you are creating.

    • 2

Snip about 5 inches of duct tape from the roll. Cut the strip of tape in half -- lengthwise -- to create two strips of tape measuring 5-inches each. Duct tape can be purchased in varying colors, including pink, green and yellow.

    • 3

Bundle together the flowers you have selected; bundle them at the shortened stems. Wrap one of the strips of tape around the stems just beneath the blossoms of the flowers.

    • 4

Wrap the second strip of tape around the stems just beneath the first strip of tape. Overlap the top strip of tape by about 1/24-inch. Wrap tightly to bind the stems.
