Scented or unscented kitty litter makes a great deodorizer. The porous clay used in litter absorbs strong smells like cat urine, it can also be used in absorb other smells. Using kitty litter instead of baking soda in a musky fridge will have the same effect. Sprinkling kitty litter at the bottom of a trash can will help remove smells. Sealing musty old objects like books or clothing in a bag of kitty litter overnight will remove the smell. Kitty litter can also absorb the smell of sweaty shoes by pouring some in pantyhose or a breathable fabric and setting them inside the shoes overnight.
Absorbent

Much like kitty litter absorbs smells it can also absorb liquids through it's porous material. A 10-pound sack of kitty litter absorbs more than a gallon of liquid, this can be used for spilled paint, or oil. Pour the litter over top the spill or pour the litter inside an fabric bag and place on top of the spill let sit for at least a day for big spills
Beauty

You can make a face mask out of unscented 100 percent clay litter. Using 3 tablespoons of litter for every 3 tablespoons of water will make a detoxifying pore mask. Place the litter inside a sealed plastic bag and crush it with a spoon. Pour the crushed litter in a bowl with the water and mix until smooth. Apply to your face for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and a washcloth. Do not use scented litter or litter not made of 100 percent clay. Additives or artificial scents can irritate the skin.
Plants

Grow healthy plants by mixing equal parts of soil with litter. The litter will absorb the water for more even distribution and better root growth. When drying flowers or non-edible herbs, place the flowers on top of a layer of kitty litter inside a sealed container and let dry for a week. The litter will absorb the moisture from the flowers or herbs will keeping their shape intact.
