Instructions
Place the box in a low cabinet with a door. Keep the door of the cabinet cracked to allow the cat to come in and out as it pleases. Be sure the cabinet is low enough for the cat to jump in and out of without any difficulty. Keeping the litter box in such a contained area will mask the smell, as well as the box itself. Just be sure to use litter that doesn't create much dust, as the cat might have problems breathing in the cabinet if lots of dust is produced when it scratches.
Keep the litter box in a closet with a door that can be left slightly open. Placing the litter box in a closet gives your cat privacy when it eliminates and prevents you from having to see or smell the box. Clean the box often or the contents in your closet may pick up a litter box scent.
Hide the box behind low-lying curtains. Long curtains can mask a litter box and also give your cat the privacy it may seek when eliminating. Avoid hiding the box here if your cat likes to climb, as it may use your curtains as its next scaling apparatus. In addition, clean the box often to prevent your curtains from smelling like litter and cat waste.
Place the litter box behind a screen. Set a screen in the corner and place the box behind it. Not only does the screen provide a good hiding spot for the box, but decoration for your room, as well.
