How to Repair Cat Trees

A good cat tree can be a big expense for your beloved pet. After a kitty gets its fair use of it, nobody likes to shell out big bucks to replace something that he already has. In many cases, it is cheaper to fix a cat tree than to buy a brand new one.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut away all the shredded pieces of cardboard or wood with your Exacto Knife. This will make it so your cat won't want to pull up the new carpet or rope to scratch what is left behind.

    • 2

Find the smallest patches that need to be repaired. Staple down carpet scraps to cover the places in need of repair. These are most commonly places that your cat would lay and not play.

    • 3

Staple the end of the Sisile rope at the bottom of any place that needs large repair. Usually this is the round barrel areas and not the landings that are badly damaged. Wind the Sisile rope around the pole so the rope is tight and sits over each row. Staple each row so your cat doesn't rip it all down. Cut away the rest of the rope with your Exacto knife so you don't have extras to tempt your feline friend.
