How to Build a Kitten House From a Cardboard Box

Kittens are timid, and bringing one into your home is exciting for you, but frightening for the kitten. Having the right supplies for your kitten can help it make the transition more smoothly. Be sure to have a kitten house for your kitten to stay in. Giving the kitten a warm place to stay and hide can help it feel more secure. You can make a simple kitten house out of a cardboard box.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Close the cardboard box. Use tape if necessary to ensure the top of the box stays closed.

    • 2

Cut a small opening out of the side of the box. The opening will serve as a door, so it should be large enough for the kitten to use. Kittens grow quickly, so allow for that.

    • 3

Place a soft towel or blanket in the bottom of the cardboard box. Use a towel or blanket that can be laundered.
