Vinegar
-
Blot up as much of the urine as possible with a paper towel. Mix together equal amounts of white vinegar and water. Spray the spot with the vinegar mixture. Let it sit and then blot with a paper towel.
If the material contaminated with cat urine is machine washable, vinegar may solve the smelly problem. Add a quarter of a cup of apple cider vinegar to the wash with your normal detergent. Wash as usual. This should help eliminate the cat urine smell.
Baking Soda
-
Remove as much of the urine as possible. Sprinkle baking soda on the urine stain. Scrub the baking soda with a brush or dampened sponge. Work in a circular motion from the outside of the stain to the inside. The baking soda will absorb the liquid urine and the smell. Cornstarch can be used in place of baking soda.
After sprinkling baking soda on the urine stain, add a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. Use your fingers, covered in rubber gloves, to mix the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide into a paste and work that paste into the stain. Let the paste sit for a few minutes and then remove with water.
Club Soda
-
Pour club soda directly onto the urine. Once the soda has stopped fizzing, remove all the liquid by blotting with paper towels. Repeat until the smell is gone.

Natural Ways to Elimate Cat Urine Smell
Cat urine has a strong smell. If you cat urinates outside of the litter box the urine smell will permeate your house. If left untreated, the urine smell will strengthen as bacteria grows. Untreated urine will also encourage the cat to come back and urinate in the same spot. Cats will often urinate outside of a dirty litter box. Keep the box clean to discourage inappropriate urination. Urination outside of the box may also be territorial marking or a sign that your cat has health issues such as a urinary tract infection or kidney issues. If the inappropriate urination continues, consult your veterinarian. There are natural remedies to remove cat urine. To prevent damage, test any remedies in an unobtrusive part of the urine-contaminated material prior to applying a full remedy.
