      Going by how many cats you have in your home, decides how big your cat litter box should be. For one cat, a small box is just fine. For more than one, the large, covered cat litter box works well.

      Buy a bag of silicone sand located at any retail or pet store in your area. Silicone sand looks like blue and white crystals just in case you do not know what silicone sand is.

      If you have one cat, fill the cat box up with only half a bag. If more than one cat, use the entire bag of silicone sand.

      Sift the cat box out once or twice a day depending on how many times it is used. Do not mix any other cat litter inside of the silicone sand at all.

      Change silicone sand once after 30 days of use. Repeats steps one through four for a fresh smelling cat litter box.
