Instructions
Frame
Cut 12 sections of 2.5-inch PVC pipe, each to 12 inches long. Cut four sections of 2.5-inch PVC pipe, each to 4 inches long. Smooth out the rough edges with sandpaper.
Place a pipe cap onto one end of each of the 4-inch pieces. Insert the other end into a four-way connector to form the four corners.
Insert a 12-inch section of PVC into the sides of the four way connectors. Piece them together to form a square. Insert another 12-inch section into each of the connector tops to build the sides of the housing. The frame should now have a square base with four sides sticking up.
Place a three-way connector on top of each of the pieces sticking up and orient them to complete the square. Insert a section of 12-inch PVC piping to connect the pieces together.
Check the height to ensure it is even, adjusting as needed.
Disassemble a portion of the frame, noting the purpose and placement of each section you removed. Coat the end with PVC primer and allow to dry for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, coat with PVC glue and reconnect the pieces. Repeat for all portions of the frame.
Allow the frame to dry for 24 hours. Clean the frame with soap and water
Fabric Enclosure
Measure the width and height of each square section of the frame. Cut sections of fabric to those dimensions with a 1-inch seam allowance included. Fold a 1/2 inch under and glue the edge with fabric glue.
Cut 24 strips of fabric so they are long enough to fit around the PVC pipe. The strips should be approximately 1 inch wide. Hem the edges under and then sew one end of the fabric to larger pieces of fabric.
Cut 72 half-inch pieces of hook and loop tape. Use fabric glue to attach the loop side of the tape where the fabric strap is sewn to the panel. Attach the hook side of the tape to the other end of the fabric strip.
Attach each of the large fabric pieces to the panels of the house using the fabric loops of the tape to hold them in place. Then, place a small pillow or cushion inside of the enclosure for your cat's comfort.
