Neon Colors
-
Cat wigs are available in neon colors. You can purchase them in hot pink, neon blue, snow white, orange and electric green. They're layered and shaped in current styles, just like human wigs, and may be used to match an owner's neon wig -- if the cat can be made to keep one on long enough for that fact to be noticed.
Wild Styles
-
If you want a cat wig in a particular style, you can get an afro or green punk cat wig; you can get cat wigs that look like blonde ponytails, braids or even Rasta dreads. Cat wigs are available long and layered, or in short styles.
Doll Wigs
-
A doll wig -- providing you're willing to sacrifice it, and it's of the right size -- can be used briefly on a cat. It's already assembled, and you can modify it slightly to achieve the effect you want. If you're so over that simpering Marie Antoinette doll from your childhood or you have an otherwise ruined doll, you can make one last use of it before you throw it away.
Homemade
-
If you're a crafter, you can make a homemade yarn wig for your cat. Adding a knitted chin strap will help keep the wig on long enough for you to snap a picture. Homemade wigs can be made to look like curly clown wigs, little-girl ponytails or braids, or may be used in combination with a toy hat or kerchief for a Viking fat lady or pirate look.

Costume Wigs for Cats
If you have the thankless task of trying to take a photo of a wig-wearing cat, you know that making a feline tolerate headgear is hard. They inevitably shoot you a look that says, "You've got to be kidding me." They bow their heads, back up and pull it off with their paws. However, there's no denying that the shot is cute -- if you're fast enough to get it. Believe it or not, there are costume wigs for cats that will give you a photo both you and your long-suffering pet will never forget.
