Cat Toys
-
Make homemade toys for your cat out of household items. Use twist ties from bread packaging to create spiders for your cat to bat around. Create a foil mouse by forming a piece of aluminum foil into a mouse shape. Poke a pipe cleaner into the foil, leaving it sticking out of the foil for a tail. Fold a sheet of newspaper accordion-style and tie a string around it; pull this toy by the string to play with your cat.
Dog Toy
-
Use old clothes made of durable fabric to create a tug toy for your dog. Cut the clothes into nine strips ranging in width from 1/2-inch to 1-inch depending upon the size of your dog. Opt for wider strips for a bigger dog. Cut the lengths long enough for the dog to be able to tug without biting your fingers. Tie the strips together near the ends; braid the strips together holding three strips at a time. Tie another knot to secure.
