1. Adequate food: Pandas require a diet primarily consisting of bamboo. They can consume up to 30 pounds (13.6 kg) of bamboo per day. In addition to bamboo, pandas may also eat other plants such as fruits, leaves, and insects.
2. Access to water: Pandas require access to fresh water for drinking and bathing. They often live near rivers or streams.
3. A safe habitat: Pandas need a safe habitat that provides shelter from predators, extreme weather, and human disturbance. They prefer to live in forests with dense undergrowth and plenty of bamboo.
4. Social interaction: Pandas are social animals and live in groups called clans. They communicate with each other through vocalizations, body language, and scent marking.
5. Reproduction: Pandas have a low reproductive rate. Females give birth to one or two cubs every two or three years. Cubs are born blind and helpless and require extensive care from their mothers.
