Things You'll Need
- Pet carrier
Instructions
Create a space for your cat inside the RV. Place a litter box, a bowl of food, water and some of your cat's favorite toys in a location where the cat will be comfortable.
Place your cat in a pet carrier. Set it in the RV with the carrier door open. Allow your cat to come out on its own and explore the new space. Let the cat spend time in the RV every day -- while the RV is stationary -- until the animal becomes used to it.
Place your cat in the carrier and put the carrier in the RV. Keep the door of the carrier closed so that the cat can't dart out. Start the RV and take it for a short drive of five to 10 minutes. When you return home and turn off the RV, release the cat from the carrier and give it a treat.
Increase the amount of time you spend driving the RV while the cat is in its carrier. Eventually, the cat should become calm while you're moving and you can attempt longer trips.
