Instructions

    • 1

Absorb the wet urine with an old rag. Put the rag over the urine spot, then tread on it with your feet or press down with your hands to soak it up. Switch to clean portions of the rag as one part becomes filled with urine. Continue blotting with the rag until all urine is absorbed.

    • 2

Combine equal parts white vinegar and cool water in a clean, empty spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto the urine stain so it is completely saturated. Blot the urine spot with another old rag to remove the moisture from the vinegar.

    • 3

Combine liquid dish soap and hydrogen peroxide into a bowl. Cover the affected area of the carpet with baking soda, then drizzle the soap and peroxide mixture on top. Use an old toothbrush to work the mixture into the carpet.

Let the affected area of the carpet dry completely. This may take a few hours, depending on the size of the urine spot. Vacuum up the powder once the area has dried.
