Removing The Stain
-
It is best if you get the stain while the urine is still wet. However, this solution will remove old dry stains with repeated applications. Be patient.
Step 1: Using a clean rag, soak up as much urine as you can.
Step 2: Mix three parts water with one part vinegar and saturate the spot. Dry thoroughly.
Step 3: When it's dry, sprinkle baking soda thickly over the spot.
Step 4: Mix ¾ cup of hydrogen peroxide with one tsp. dish detergent.
Step 5: Sprinkle this mixture over the baking soda, soaking the stain.
Step 6: Use a small brush or your fingertips to scrub the solution into the spot.
Step 7: Sprinkle with more baking soda and cover with a towel until dry.
Step 8: When the spot is dry, vacuum completely until baking soda is gone.
Works Every Time

Remember: if this is an old stain, you may have to repeat the process again to make sure the stain is gone.
With just these few simple steps, you and your cat will never know the spot was there. Kitty will not be drawn back to the area by any lingering odor.
