2. Try to keep litter box as close to the area they already go. This means you must keep the main litterbox on the main level of the house because a cat would not go upstairs.
3. Use a clumping litter. This will make it easier to scoop out the waste and keep the litter box clean.
4. Clean the litter box regularly. Cats are very clean animals and they don't like to use a dirty litter box. Scoop out the waste daily, and change the litter every few days.
5. Try to maintain the same type of litter, brand and litterbox. This avoids the cat getting confused and not wanting to use the litterbox.
6. Positive reinforcement. When your cat uses the litter box, give them a treat or some praise. This will help them learn that using the litter box is a good thing.
7. Be patient. It may take some time for your cats to get used to sharing a litter box. Be patient and consistent with your training, and they will eventually learn to use it without any problems.
