When you adopt from a shelter are the cats and dogs ALWAYS NEUTERED?
While many shelters and rescue organizations make it a policy to spay and neuter the animals they adopt out, sometimes the cat or dog may not yet have been altered when you adopt them. This could be due to the animal's age, medical condition, or the shelter's resources. Always ask the shelter or rescue you're adopting from about the desexing status of the animals they're adopting out.
