How to Boil Chicken for a Cat

Many cat owners consider their pets to be a member of the family. And, like their human counterparts, they like to give cat special attention and treats to make them happy. Sometimes it's also done for the cat's health. If your cat has recently been ill with an intestinal issue, it may be helpful to feed the cat boiled chicken instead of the usual cat food. A common vet recommendation is to exclusively feed your cat boiled chicken for up to one week. But this should only be temporary as a regular diet of boiled chicken may lead to nutritional deficiencies.

Place the chicken breast in a pot and cover it with water. Bring the water to a rolling boil, then reduce the heat to a low simmer. Cook for approximately 30 minutes, or until the inner flesh of the chicken breast is no longer pink.

Feed the boiled chicken to your cat when the meat is still slightly warm. The chicken may also be stored in the refrigerator for later use.
