Things You'll Need
- 1/2 cup raw trimmed beef
- 3 tbsp. beef broth
- Small saucepan
- 1 tbsp. dried barley grass powder
- 1 cooked minced carrot
- 2 tbsp. cooked oatmeal
- Airtight container
- 3 cups lightly cooked ground turkey
- 1 cup lightly cooked turkey organ meat (kidney, liver, heart, lungs)
- 1 raw turkey neck, ground or finely chopped
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
- 1/2 cup cooked broccoli
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1 egg yolk
- Wire whisk
- Small mixing bowl
- 1 small trout fillet
- 3 tbsp. quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- Baking sheet
Instructions
Vegetable Beef Cat Food
Place the raw beef and beef broth into a small saucepan and heat over low heat until beef is thoroughly cooked.
Shred beef with a fork while it is still in the broth.
Mix in the minced carrot, barley grass powder and oatmeal.
Store in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator. Use within one week.
Turkey and Rice Cat Food
Combine ground turkey, organ meat, neck and brown rice in a mixing bowl.
Mash the broccoli with a fork and add to the mixing bowl.
Stir olive oil into the bowl, continuing to stir all ingredients until they are thoroughly combined.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Baked Trout Cat Food
Beat the egg in a small mixing bowl with a whisk.
Dip the trout fillet in the egg, and then dip the fillet in the oatmeal.
Grease the baking sheet with the vegetable oil.
Place the trout fillet onto the baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350 F oven for 15 minutes.
Flip the fish over and bake for another 15 minutes.
Place the trout into your cat's dish to cool. Once cooled, break into bite-size pieces with a fork and serve.
