How to Make Your Own Low Calorie Cat Food

Obesity is a common problem in cats. Whether the reason is inactivity, old age or a medical condition, feline obesity can greatly decrease the cat's overall health and quality of life. Some commercial diets are full of ingredients that only add to a cat's obesity problem. Homemade diets prepared for cats of average weight can contribute to feline obesity, also. A homemade, low calorie diet is one option to help your cat lose weight. Veterinary consultation is recommended if you think your cat may be overweight, as your veterinarian knows your individual pet and his health needs.
