Instructions
Fruity Cupcakes
Prepare fruity cupcakes when you're short on time or prefer an easy recipe. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mash all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Spray two muffin tins with nonstick spray. Dole out portions of the mixture into the tins, being sure not to overfill the cups.
Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool before treating Fido.
Carrot Cake Dog Cupcakes
Craft cupcakes with carrots and cream cheese frosting for an especially luscious doggy dessert. This is an ideal recipe for multiple canine gatherings.
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray the cups of a muffin tin with nonstick spray.
Mix carrots, eggs, and applesauce in a large bowl.
In a medium-size bow, combine the cinnamon, rolled oats and flour.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet components about a half cup at a time, mixing well.
Put batter into the cups of the muffin tin, and then bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before frosting.
Blend the unsweetened applesauce with the low-fat cream cheese for the frosting. Place the mixture into an icing bag to apply it easily.
When to Give Your Dog a Cupcake
Treat your dog to cupcake treats like these sparingly. Sweets are not a natural element of canine nutrition and may bring out digestive problems if given too often.
Incorporate cupcakes into an obedience training scheme. If your hound remains patient during an especially long sit-stay exercise, for example, consider surprising him with a fruity cupcake as a jackpot reward. The delicious consequence of his behavior will help him retain the skill and happily perform it when asked to.
Involve the entire family in baking treats for your dog. Children can learn rudimentary culinary skills and have an opportunity to bond with parents while crafting a snack for their beloved canine.
