- 1 mashed ripe banana
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- Muffin tin
- Baking spray
- Plastic zip bag
- Dry dog food
- Rolling pin
Instructions
Place 1 1/2 cup of wheat flour in the mixing bowl. Add 1 tbsp. baking powder and 1/2 cup oatmeal. Stir the three dry ingredients together with a wooden spoon.
Add 1 cup grated carrot, 1/2 cup molasses and 1/2 cup water to the dry ingredients and mix well. Beat in one egg before stirring 1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil into the mixture.
Mix in one mashed banana and 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter to add flavor to the cupcakes. Stir the ingredients together for a few minutes to ensure they are mixed thoroughly.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray the muffin tins with baking spray to prevent the muffins from sticking to the pan.
Spoon the cupcake mixture into the individual muffin cups until they are two-thirds of the way full. Place a hand full of dry dog kibbles in a plastic zip bag. Crush the dog food by rolling back and forth over it with a rolling pin, then sprinkle some of the crushed dog kibbles over the top of each cupcake.
Bake the cupcakes for 20 minutes or until a fork poked into the cupcakes comes out clean. Remove the cupcakes from the oven, and allow them to cool in the muffin tin for 10 minutes. Turn the muffin tin over, and gently tap on the bottom to loosen the cupcakes. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before feeding them to your dog.
