- Boneless skinless chicken
- Lamb
- Fish
- Wheat
Instructions
Keep the German shorthaired pointer on a poultry, fish, lamb and wheat diet. You also can feed your active dog high-fat and high-protein dog food with vitamins and minerals. According to the Petco-Best Dog website, Eukanuba Premium Performance Sporting Adult Dog Food and Natural Balance A.M.P. Ultra Active Formula Dry Dog Food are recommended for active dogs.
If you prepare the food yourself, cook the meat ingredients, and then let the meat cool for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut the meat into small pieces and mix the sliced wheat grain with the meat in a bowl.
Feed the German shorthaired pointer two to three small meals a day instead of one large meal: two cups in the morning and two cups in the late afternoon.
Refrigerate the excess dog food that you made. The food will be good for three to four days.
